FAQs

What is chiropractic?

Chiropractic care focuses on restoring proper alignment and mechanics to the spine and other joints, which helps reduce stress on your nervous system and improve your body’s ability to heal.

What is Applied Kinesiology?

Applied Kinesiology uses muscle testing as a window into how your body is functioning. It helps identify areas of structural, chemical, and mental imbalances so we can tailor care to your specific needs.

Do you see families and children?

Yes! We are a family practice and care for patients of all ages—from infants to older adults. Each visit is adapted to meet the unique needs of the individual.

What can I expect at my first visit?

New patient visits take more time and include a thorough evaluation of your history, a physical assessment, and initial care. You’ll leave with a clear plan and next steps tailored to your needs. Expect thorough intake paperwork and a detailed consultation with the doctor lasting over an hour. Be sure to bring any supplements or medications you’re currently taking.

What if all my blood work is normal?

Even when standard labs look “normal,” there can still be functional imbalances in the body that create symptoms. We look deeper to assess how your systems are working together and address issues before they progress into more serious problems.

Do you take insurance?

We are not in-network with any insurance providers and do not bill insurance directly. However, we provide superbills with all necessary information for patients who wish to submit claims for possible reimbursement. Please note that insurance plans vary widely, and reimbursement is not guaranteed.

Do you bill Medicare?

Our practice does not bill Medicare. When necessary, we report to visit information to Medicare but payment is due at time of service. Dr. Richard is enrolled with Medicare as a provider, but Dr. Spenser is not. Medicare guidelines determine which chiropractic services are eligible for reimbursement. We’re happy to discuss this further when you call or visit.

Do you accept HSA or FSA cards?

Yes, we can process HSA and FSA payments. However, some plans restrict what they’ll cover, and certain charges may be declined or reversed after an audit. We recommend checking with your plan administrator if you’re unsure.
